$8 for students About our speaker... J.P. James is the Brand Planning Director for the African-American Consumer Market in GlobalHue's New York City office. James is responsible for leading strategy for Verizon
(Telecom and Wireless) and the U.S. Census. He has over 13+ years of experience, with last 7 years spent on addressing the needs of the African-American consumer. James is also versed in the automotive, packaged goods and retail categories. In his prior experiences, he worked to uncover the unique African-American insights for Alberto-Culver, AstraZeneca, Boehringer Ingelheim, Colgate-Palmolive HSBC, Kraft Foods, The Home Depot and United Healthcare. James has done strategic work for AstraZeneca , Mars, Inc.'s 3 MUSKETEERS and Toyota Motor Sales. His work for 3 MUSKETEERS was a 2007 Effie Awards Finalist. James is also an author of The Multicultural Paradigm and an industry speaker on the subject of multicultural marketing at industry events. James is an Adjunct Professor teaching a class on multicultural marketing at Westchester Community College in New York. J.P. holds a Master of Science Degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University. He also holds a Marketing/Advertising Bachelor's degree from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona- Pomona, California.
